In early July we shared on our social media that you could claim a £25 voucher for a day out – meaning you could get a £25 discount or a completely free day out, for yourself and others!

Sadly this promotion was super popular and was paused for a while, but it looks like it is back.

Any National Lottery player who has purchased a National Lottery game, Scratchcard or Instant Win Game after 1 January 2023 can apply for a voucher with a redemption value of up to £25. This can be used against a booking to any participating attraction (subject to availability).’

We don’t do the National Lottery religiously, but my partner and myself had both entered online at some point this year, meaning we were both eligible to claim a £25 days out voucher. As long as you have the ticket number, you can claim, so it doesn’t matter if you paid in store, via their app or online.

You can use the voucher to have a completely day free day out for yourself or multiple people, depending on how much it comes to or you can use it as part payment if your day out costs more than £25. Unfortunately if your day out falls under £25 you will not be able to use the excess on the voucher.

You will have 7 days to use the voucher but can book in advance, up to 30th September 2023.

You can claim it if you’ve entered any National Lottery game, Scratchcard or Instant Win Games, so the Euromillions and others still count.

Local Attractions that we visited

Fairytale Farm, OX7 5QH

I chose to use my ticket for a day out for my sister, 3 year old niece and myself (my brother later paid for his own ticket and joined us) for a fantastic day!

Fairytale Farm is a popular day out in Oxfordshire.
Entry is usually around £8.99 per person, under 2’s go free.
So you can get in for FREE or just pay £1.97 for 2 adults and a child, like we did!

They are currently doing some work, so not all was working and there were a few construction works but there is still loads to do. You go through the shop where the cafe, a little play area and the toilets are situated, it is free to park and plenty of parking, just watch out for the chickens in the car park.

There are interactive buttons and moving dinosaurs. Lots to do from their trail at the start with musical interactions, the dancing fountain and the giant’s camera, where you can have your photo taken for free and sent directly to your email. There are lots of animals you can see and feed (you can buy feed at the cafe as you enter at the beginning) and a small indoor play area for little ones and an outdoor play area, even some things for the not so little ones, like wooden bowling/skittles and rubber duck, water pump racing. A great little day out, especially if you have little ones!

Waddesdon Manor Gardens, HP18 0JH

Waddesdon Manor Gardens is another nearby attraction.
Entry is usually £13.20 per adult, £6.60 per child (5-17 years) and those under 5 are free.
So you can get in for FREE or just pay £1.40 for 2 adults!

We were impressed with the gardens, loads of space, small walks, big walks, lots to look at. For those that can’t walk far, are short on time or just don’t wish to walk up to the house and gardens, there is a constant bus service that runs throughout the day to take you up to the driveway to the house or to the stables. This service used to be free but sadly they had to choose to cut the service all together or to implement a charge. It is however only £2.50 per person for unlimited use that day during your visit, so jump on and off as frequently as you like.

They do lots of events at Waddesdon Manor and have plenty of disabled parking. They even have a few car chargers for electric cars, which are free, when using visiting. You just need to ask a member of staff as you sign in, to turn them on for you and let them know once you are ready to leave too.

We couldn’t have asked for any nicer and politer staff when we visited, extra special thanks to Liv on the entrance, Dave Cook and Ron the driver for making our time at Waddesdon Manor amazing! We are even now considering signing up to the National Trust.

Have you bought a lottery ticket or scratch card from January 2023 until now and haven’t claimed your voucher?
I’d highly recommend for you to claim your voucher soon!
These include many different attractions, UK wide.

Just to confirm these were my personal choices of where to go and my personal opinion on both attractions, this is not a paid advertising article.
