New fencing for Elms Park, Thame

ELMS PARK in Thame now has new fencing, thanks to partnership action in the the town.

The Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) identified the top priority for Thame as Elms Park and the high number of incidents of antisocial behaviour there.

The NAG group therefore worked with local residents and the policing team to carry out several actions including the replacement of signs and extra police patrols.

The reinstatement of the boundary fencing was considered necessary to help the police effectively manage the area, where there also tends to be a lot of dumping of rubbish.

The old fencing at the rear of Elms Park has now been replaced with high wire fencing. This follows approval of a grant application to the South Oxfordshire Community Safety Partnership for
