We’re looking for people to join our team of local contributors for Thame.net (established 1998).

If you enjoy writing and want to contribute to the website then we have lots of ideas but are also open to new ideas from YOU! We’re looking for people to write articles, support the website updates, get involved in social media – and much more. It’s a great way to meet people and get involved in local activities – plus it’s good for the CV if you fancy a future career in writing/media or marketing.

This is NOT a paid position at the moment – but who knows what will happen in the future. Please only contact us if you WANT to get involved and not because it could turn into a paid role.

What we need from you

The list of skills and experience below are not expected in full. If you have one, some or other of these then we will happily provide training.

  • Writing for websites and social media
  • Marketing know-how 
  • Design for web and social media
  • Event coordination

You can help with

There’s a lot you can help with. Examples include

  • Writing website articles for one or more categories (easy-to-follow content writing guidelines will be provided)
  • Interviewing local individuals, groups or event teams to create interesting article content
  • Creating and/or posting social media content
  • Coordinating and promoting monthly volunteer events
  • Attending and reporting on local events
  • Supporting other local events and charities

If you want to share examples of previous work then that would also be great! But, don’t worry if you don’t have examples – you can still apply.
