Easter is traditionally celebrated by Christians to celebrate new beginnings, as they believe this was when Jesus rose again to save us from our sins.
So why not reflect the true meaning, educate the younger generations, give your loved ones something different for Easter, not the usual chocolate eggs?

I’ve put together some ideas focusing on the theme New Beginnings.

Planting

Seeds are great to start growing something in your home, whether they are to add texture, life, a pretty focal point or to use in cooking. You don’t have to have a garden to sprinkle some flower seeds or plant some bulbs, herb gardens are great in kitchens and mint or lavender can add scent to your home. If you are gifting seeds to a younger person or someone less green fingered, you can gift them some garden cress seeds, these are super easy to grow and fast growing, even better if they love to eat it too!
You can pop them in cute plant pots or something simple, even with a pot they could decorate themselves.

New Hobby or skill

Could you start someone on a new journey of a new hobby or skill? Something they may have shown interest in but haven’t quite pursued? Maybe gifting a hobby magazine would be a suitable option, to help with their interest; railways, crafts or even wildlife. Maybe some equipment that might help them further their skills like a football or a new book to start reading.

Crystals

Is your recipient more spiritual or like their jewellery? You can gift them a piece of jewellery with certain crystals or stones with specific meaning. Moonstone is a stone that is associated with new beginnings, usually in a beautiful bluely clear stone. Or a mixed crystal bracelet with other crystals like Amethyst to help with anxiety and help keep them balanced, Onyx for cleansing and strength and Jade for luck and wealth. There are some beautiful crystals out there, all with their own meanings, so why not include the meanings and include a description in a card or on a piece of paper included with this gift? This would make it super personal and show so much thought.

 Notebook

A notebook to me always feels like a fresh start, whether this is intended for notes, a diary, planner, sketching or even a positivity journal. New book, new page, new start.
Notebooks come in all different sizes, page designs, you can even get colour in journals which can add a bit extra.

 Scented

Do you know someone that loves freshly scented products? Room sprays, pillow sprays, diffusers, even a fresh cleaning hamper if that is their thing. Fresh scents are great for the Easter new beginnings, fresh start theme.
But if they have trouble sleeping a nice lavender pillow spray or bath/shower products can help naturally calm and relax.
For those that may have trouble waking up in the mornings you could try a lemon room spray.

 SLATE

Maybe a gift made from slate, with the meaning of a clean slate, this could be a beautifully engraved coaster, a slate tile decorated with an inspiring quote or image of a loved one.

Candles

Or for those that love candles, you could get a pretty candle, boxed candle, scented candle – any candle they may like, to help them light the way.

However you celebrate Easter, have a beautiful time.
