03/04/13…..A facility the community ‘can be rightly proud of’

A Thame Councillor has today sought to clarify the words he used, in what appeared to be criticism of the way the local Football Partnership had been run.

Cllr Mike Dyer (pictured) told Thamenews.net today: ?On reading your piece published yesterday about my report to Thame Town Council about the current situation of the Thame Football Parntership, I do feel that the impression was given that I was being critical of the Football Partnership whereas I am actually very supportive of it.

?Overall, my view is that club has excelled in its provision of football but that managing the facility has proven to be more challenging.

?Thame has a fantastic new facility at Meadow View Park and a lot of people, many of them volunteers, are working extremely hard to make it a success and something that we as a community can be rightly proud of.?
