14/05/13….Thame publican pulls top job

THAME’S new Mayor, elected this evening by fellow town councillors, is popular publican, Peter Lambert, who runs the Thame Microbrewery and pub, The Cross Keys.

Cllr Lambert, who was Deputy to the outgoing Mayor, Cllr Nigel Champken Woods, was elected unanimously. His Deputy, elected after a paper ballot, is Cllr Jeannette Matelot Green, herself Mayor of Thame in 2009.
