THAME Netball Club is holding trials to select players for their three teams on June 7, 14 and 21. The club is looking for players of all ability, so it doesn’t matter if you haven’t played netball for years, they would love you to go along and have some fun and find out for yourself whether Thame Netball Club is for you!

Spokesperson for Thame Netball Club, Lyn Hopwood, said: “Thame Netball Club has been established for five years and has a number of players who have been playing for the club for many years and love it there (including me!)

“Our existing players range in age from school age to nearing retirement age! If your fancy getting fit then joining a netball club is a great choice as you also get to have fun and make friends on the way. You will be warmly welcomed I promise!

“We train every Friday night from 6-7.30pm at Lord William’s Lower School sports hall and have three teams playing in the Aylesbury league. Matches will start in September (giving you plenty of time to recap on the rules before the competition begins!) and continue until around April.

“Matches are played at a selection of venues in Aylesbury on a Wednesday night. Our three teams are:
Thame Tornadoes (1st team) play in division 3 at Aylesbury College, Thame Hurricanes (2nd team) play in division 4 at Waddesdon Secondary School, and Thame Cyclones (3rd team) play in division 5 at Quarrendon (Aylesbury Academy).

“If any of this sounds of interest to you please do come along on Friday, 14 or 21, at 6pmn at Lord Williams’s Lower school sports hall to find out for yourself how great netball is.

Your local clubn THAME NETBALL CLUB, needs you! Hope to see you on a Friday evening soon!
