06/04/11…Lea Park residents invited to have their say about Sainsbury’s plan for Thame
The Lea Park Residents? Association in Thame, is seeking the views of all residents on the estate about Sainsbury’s proposal to build a supermarket on the Cattlemarket site.
On Thursday, April 14, at Chinnor Rugby Club at 7.30 pm, the Association is holding its AGM and the Cattle Market development is on the agenda. All members of the Association will have an opportunity to express their opinion.
Angela Willson, Chair of LPRA, said: ?Although Sainsbury?s have given us the chance to give our views on the plans, only they and their agents, GKA, will actually know the results. The residents of Lea Park need to be able to express their opinions openly so that we can all hear one another?s views and then be able to uphold a common stance if this becomes a planning issue.?
Those attending the meeting will also be able to see the Concept Masterplan for Site F (the pig field) prepared by Jeffrey Charles Emmett Planning & Development Consultancy.
Angela also said that the Association will also be looking for new members of the committee: “… so that it can continue to be actively involved in improving the estate and supporting residents in issues relating to the local councils and central Government.”
