02/09/10………..AMENDED 06/09/10: Day centre launches SOS funding appeal

Thame and District Day Centre is mounting an appeal for funds in advance of the (feared) axing of its Oxfordshire Social Services grant from next April.

The Day Centre, a registered charity, has provided day care and support for older people in and around the town for 25 years and meets three days a week at Thame Community Hospital.

Although its core services have been funded by Oxfordshire Social Services, the Centre (says that it) could not function without the support of its devoted volunteer helpers, volunteer drivers and fund raisers.
