19/07/10…….Thame United versus Ajax – Were you there?

IN 1976, Thame played the mighty Dutch team, Ajax. Were your there, and can you remember what the outcome was and any details about the match?

A ThameNews.Net reader is currently writing a book which includes a chapter about the day Thame United played one of the best teams in Europe. In a message to ThameNews.Net, Dave says:
“It was a friendly match and although I was at the game, I can no longer recall how it came about or any of the details. I’m wondering if I can reach out to your readers and see if anyone can help with memories of the match?”
