22/04/20…Not guilty plea by man in fatal Kingsey crash

THE man charged with causing the death of Thame lifeguard, Greg Stiles, by dangerous driving, has pleaded Not Guilty and is to go on trial.

Sammy Edwards appeared before Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday, April 20, where he was bailed to return for trial on August 31, 2010.

Greg was killed when another vehicle alledgedly forced his car off the road on Sunday, May 17, 2009, on the A4129, Kingsey Road, outside Thame, and his girlfriend, Abi Dowdy, was left in a coma fighting for her life.

The trial is scheduled to begin on August 31, 2010, and is expected to last for three weeks.
