“THE MOST APPALLING DEVELOPMENT THAME HAS EVER HAD” – Cllr David Dodds..about a plan approved by SODC for 8 residential units at the rear of 12/12a Cornmarket (behind Money Spinner). This development is to be known as White Horse Mews, in recognition of an inn called The White Horse that once stood on the site, and the first inn in Thame to have a landlady!
PARK TERRACE
Following oppostion from residents in Park Terrace, Thame, town councillors, Thame’s County Councillor and Thame Service Station, Thame Town Council has recommended refusal of a planning application to build six, two-bed houses in Corporation Yard, in Park Terrace.
Part of the yard is used by Thame Service Station who say that any reduction in the space available to them would have a detrimental effect on their business, with the potential loss of at least six jobs.
The council gave their reasons for not supporting the application as:
1. Traffic generation, parking and safety
2. Over-development
3. Noise generation
4. Potential loss of employment at Thame Service
