Shop Watch /Business watch has been set up in Thame; there are seventy four shops signed up. There will be a small number of shops from the seventy four who have suffered thefts, which will have a ring round system to alert each other of possible offenders.
Thame fair was a success over the three days with only two arrests. Thame council and Thame police worked closely together to ensure an enjoyable and safe event.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
I continue to join Soha and South Vale Housing on site inspections around Thame. This month has seen the removal of three abandoned vehicles, the tidying up of residents’ gardens and other issues.
I had a invitation to attend a meeting on Thursday 10/09/09 with the British Legion to talk about my job role to members .They found it very interesting and had plenty of questions. They admitted that they did not realise the areas of work that I cover ensuring that Thame community have a safe and nice place to live and work in, keeping on top of fly tipping abandoned vehicles and anti-social behaviour.
One warning letter has been served to a resident in Thame for Anti-social Behaviour.
