Tour of Britain cyclists sprint through Thame
LOCAL people from Thame and Haddenham turned out on Monday around mid-day, to cheer on the contestants of this year’s Tour of Britain cycle race.
First over the line in Wenman Road, Thame, in the sprint was Ian Stannard, racing in the Great Britain team, who was almost four minutes ahead of the peleton.
Caught here on camera as he pedalled through Thame, is Edval Boasson Hagen (Norway), racing for Team Columbia, who was the winner of both yesterday’s (Wednesday’s stage 4) and today’s stage in the Dalby forest, finishing in Scarborough.
