THAME Angling Club were fishing an inter-club match against Wycombe Thames, down at crendon Bridge this weekend.
The prospects were looking good after last week’s results in the Thame Tackle teams of fours. There was a little extra water flowing through the river after the rain on Friday night although the cold wind on the day put the fish down a bit.
Top rod for the Wycombe Thames and overall winner was Eddie Wilson with 7.9.0 off the fancied Basin swim, with Tim Eele of the Thame club coming home in second place with 6.5.0 which put him 29 points clear in the league standings with 4 matches remaining.
On the team front, Thame came out on top taking the top four anglers from each side 11.14.0 to 9.13.0.
Thame are holding a team of threes event this coming Sunday, November 19.
