Gypsy Band Brings Magic To Towersey
THE Jaipur Kawa Brass Band, a spectacular Rajasathani gypsy band, will be exploding onto the Towersey Arena stage in a whirlwind of colour, music, humour and energy on Bank Holiday Monday (28 August).
This amazing brass band are just one of the many artists performing at this year?s Towersey Village Festival, Nr Thame, which takes place from 24-28 August 2006. Other special shows in the open-air Arena theatre include Kakatsitsi, a group of drummers, dancers and singers from Ghana, On English Ground, a dance extravaganza from the UK and Atlantic Flames, an Irish and American Dance Spectacular.
Throughout the weekend visitors can enjoy family entertainment, street theatre, dance displays, daily processions, children?s entertainment and traditional fairground rides. They will be charmed by Hodman Dodmanott & Sally Forth?s comical walkabout, laugh at Wynndebagge?s medieval antics, be mesmerised by Will-o-the-Wisp?s stiltwalking and amazed by Magic Singh?s slight of hand tricks.
