Music With Atmosphere – Contributed
A SOLO harp will be just one of the features of The Crendon Chamber Orchestra’s next concert, on Saturday, June 24, in St. Mary’s Church, Thame, at 8pm.
After working with the highly-acclaimed professional musicians of the Orchestra of St. John in April, the orchestra is looking to create a variety of atmospheres with their next programme, from Karl Jenkins’ Palladio – best known as the music from a certain diamond advert – to Elgar’s short but
beautifully intense work, Sospiri. The programme also includes Divertimento for Strings by Gareth Walters, Debussy ‘s Danses Sacre et Profane (with a solo harp) and Arvo Part’s serene Fratres for Strings and Percussion.
Whatever your mood, this concert has something for you!
The orchestra will be conducted by its regular conductor, Dr Jonathan Williams, local composer and music tutor.
