THE funeral of legendary jockey, Pat Eddery, was held at St Mary’s Church, Thame, this morning, when racing personalities, including Frankie Dettori, carried the coffin.

Pat Eddery died at Stoke Mandeville hospital on November 10, following a heart attack, attributed to alcoholism.

The service was followed by a private cremation in Oxford, and a celebration of his life at Notley Tythe Barn in Long Crendon.
