This is the 5th year of World Cleanup Day<\/strong> and we would love it if you could help, especially those that walk dogs.<\/span>
<\/span>Sadly there are only 3 listed events in the UK at the moment and it is tomorrow! <\/span>
<\/span>The current events are listed in Manchester, London and Surrey.
You can arrange your own event on the World Cleanup Day website.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

We are super lucky in Thame, as we have many people already helping clean up stray litter, other people\u2019s dog mess and help with cleaning up broken glass.<\/span>
<\/span>Please can we keep an eye out for some of the <\/span>6 trillion cigarette butts that are laying around, many people don\u2019t realise that they are super damaging to the environment so should be disposed of properly and not just subbed out on the ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

So why are we reaching out to dog walkers in particular you ask? <\/strong>
<\/span>Well for <\/span>every pet lover who posts a photo or video of their litter-picking dog walk with the hashtag #P4Hcleanupwalk22<\/strong> Pets4Homes will donate \u00a31 to the organisation World Cleanup Day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I know it shouldn\u2019t be up to everyone to pick up for others, but there are some genuine reasons why some litter may escape, so if we are able to pop some gloves and bags in our pockets when we head outside and make it a habit, we can help clean up the environment, saving it from being a massive task for one person. Apparently it can take around <\/span>30 days to change a habit, so let\u2019s help spread the word and encourage others, then it may just become a way of life in around a month’s time.<\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>There is an estimated population of around 12k people living in Thame, Oxfordshire. If even a quarter of us were to help, that would be an extra 3000 people.<\/span><\/p>\n

So let\u2019s roll up our sleeves, put on our gloves, grab our bags (if you can have a rubbish bag and a recycling bag even better!)<\/em> and pick up that trash and cigarette butts. If you have a dog or two, don\u2019t forget to get them in a photo or video as you are litter-picking and upload it to social media with the relevant hashtag #P4Hcleanupwalk22<\/strong> It may help to follow and tag the Pets4Homes account too, to make sure they see it:<\/span><\/p>\n
