21st Century Thame works with volunteers, businesses and the Council to support projects and events that benefit Thame such as the annual Thame Carnival.<\/p>\n

The vision of 21st Century Thame is to enhance the historic market town of Thame by protecting its past and promoting its future as a vibrant and flourishing centre serving the whole community.<\/p>\n

Thame Museum is run by local volunteers who create a wonderful visitor experience for all. New volunteers are needed and are very much welcome. It’s a great way to give back to the community, meet new people, gain experience or offer a specialist skill. There are lots of ways you can help in a supportive and friendly environment and all the training you need will be given.<\/p>\n

Based at Thame Town Cricket Club, The Thame Senior Friendship Centre, a registered charity, have been supporting the older members of our community since 1986. Members meet to catch up with friends and enjoy lunch and entertainment and even benefit from transport to and from the Centre.<\/p>\n

We are always keen to hear from individuals who would like to be a part of our work. Not all our volunteers are directly involved with young people as there much that happens behind the scenes to keep things ticking over, including fundraising, social media, PR & Marketing to name just a few.<\/p>\n

All our activities are run by volunteers – they shape young people\u2019s lives for the better and find out a whole lot about themselves in the process, too.\u00a0Our door is open to people of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds. You don\u2019t need to have been a Scout or know how to put up a tent. We\u2019ll provide the training, you show up, get stuck in, and make memories for life.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thame Players is a vibrant and friendly theatre group based in the centre of Thame on Nelson Street. The theatre and productions would not run without the help and support of volunteers. If you think you can help with anything from front-of-house service through to acting, directing, lighting or sounds then you’d be welcomed with open arms. No experience is needed as all training can be given as long as you bring your enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

The Cuttle Brook Volunteers group meets twice a month \u2013 the third Sunday and last Wednesday \u2013 to share tasks such as mowing paths, building or maintaining boardwalks and bridges, protecting reed beds, planting and conducting wildlife surveys.<\/p>\n
