05/06/13……Thame 10K applications limit reached in record time!

APPLICATIONS for this year?s Thame 10k race were closed by the end of May – the fastest it has ever filled up with 1000 entrants – normally around the second or third week for June. Approximately 175 of the runners are residents of Thame itself and competing for the cup for the fastest Thame Resident.

Last year’s winner was Jack Hobbs who has entered for the 2013 race to see if he can retain his title. CPM, the race sponsor, has entered no less than 60 staff members and will compete for the fastest non-running club team.

Other local teams going for the team award include the Cargo Crawlers, Lord Williams’s School, Racquets Runners, GULP and the Supergran team from Oxford with some 25 family members raising money for Sobell House.
