19/06/12…Little Oliver died of natural causes, says Coroner
THE death of a four-year-old boy from Thame was caused by an aggressive bacterial infection that entered his blood stream, a Coroner’s court heard today.
Oliver Blockley, the inquest heard, died on October 30, 2011, after a virus weakened his airways, enabling the infection to take a hold.
The post-mortem examination also found that a tumour was present in Oliver?s adrenal gland, which, said the Coroner, may have weakened his immune system.
Buckinghamshire Coroner, Richard Hulett, found that Oliver had died of natural causes.
