On Big Draw Day, because it’s called “the Art of Recording,” from 11am, Thame museum will be showing a remarkable piece of film of the Thame Show in 1935.
REMINDER OF WHAT THE BIG DRAW IS ALL ABOUT

BUDDING artists are once again being encouraged to get out their paints and pencils, as The Big Draw returns for its ninth year, as the national celebration to bring out the artist in everyone.
Thame Museum is, for the second year running, the venue for lots of events for children and adults, led by local Sparksartist, Christine Tacq.

Throughout the event, there will be an exhibition inspired by the title, The Art of Recording, and based around Thame’s new Oral history recordings of people’s memories of life in Thame.

Verbal records include: work as a bricklayer in the “twenties,” memories of a haberdasher shop on market day and those of a secret agent during WW2.
