ANYONE who has made an archaeological find can bring it to Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock, on Saturday 21 July to have it identified and officially recorded.

The archaeological finds surgery is part of a day of free activities at the Oxfordshire County Council-run museum during National Archaeology Week, 14-21 July.

Visitors can also meet Lucius the Roman, watch a demonstration of Anglo-Saxon weaving, see skeletons brought along by Oxford Archaeology, and enjoy lots of games and activities.

For more information about the day, which runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm, please call Oxfordshire County Council?s Museum Education Officer, Christina Parker, on 01993 814115.
