4:11pm: M40 closed – Thame

THAMES Valley Police is advising drivers that the M40 northbound is currently closed in Oxfordshire.

The motorway is closed between junctions 8 and 9 following a report just after 3pm of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle.

Officers are currently on the scene dealing with the incident.

LATEST: On the M40 northbound between junctions J7 and J8A, there are currently delays of 20 mins caused by congestion due to an accident closing one lane between junctions J8A and J9. Normal traffic conditions expected from 9:30 pm.
